Osprey SM 30 and 50 are heavy-duty skid mounted abrasive jet cutting systems capable of cutting a wide variety of materials.

DIAJET for marine applications

Available in electrical or diesel driven forms, they are computer controlled, simple to operate, and complete with all necessary services to create an abrasive waterjet cutting system in-factory or on site.

Units are provided in both single (S) and twin (T) slurry system configurations (for longer continuous cutting) complete with abrasive make up facilities. The twin vessel units can be equipped with single or twin hose feeds depending on the application.

Applications

  • Production lin
  • Maintenance and repair
  • Decommissioning of process and nuclear plant
  • Ship repair
  • Explosive ordnance disposal
  • Civil structure cutting
  • Decorative stonework
  • Mining applications
  • Sub-sea pipeline cutting
  • Oil rig decommissioning
  • Tyre cutting

Benefits

  • Precise cutting of any single or multi-layer materials
  • Submerged cutting prevents spray and particulate contamination
  • Cut is suitable for welding without further preparation
  • Offshore and underwater capability - cutting efficiency unaffected by water depth
  • Low reaction forces
  • Small cutting head for use in confined spaces
  • Single 15 or 20mm hose
  • Can be manually controlled or programmed
  • Up to 1000m hose for remote cutting and difficult access
  • Supplied with light duty 2d or 3d cutting tables or a hydraulic manipulator, or usable with any standard hydraulic chain or track system or ROVs
  • Minimal water and abrasive consumption
  • Spent abrasive can be used as inert civil engineering material
